FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How many hours will I be expected to volunteer for?
Each Volunteer shift is 4½ hours. You can volunteer for as many shifts as you like.
2. How do I get to Revive 09?
Revive 09 is held at the Olympic Park Sports Centre – Homebush. See the Travel Details page of this website for a map and transport details. Volunteers are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from The State Sports Centre.
3. What should volunteers wear?
Volunteers for Revive 09 should wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. You may be stationed outdoors, so bring appropriate warm clothes and wet weather gear. You will be given a Revive Volunteer vest to wear over your clothes.
4. What should I do about meals?
Volunteers are responsible for their own meals during Revive 09. A small café is located on level 1 of the State Sports Centre, which sells light snacks and refreshments. A coffee cart will also be available. Alternatively, please bring with you any specific food/refreshments you may require.
5. If I am a volunteer, do I still need to register for Revive 09?
No, volunteers are automatically registered for Revive 09 for free. This means you can attend any or all of the Rallies and workshops when you are not needed as a volunteer. You will be registered for Revive 09 by the Volunteer Co-ordinator once your Volunteer Application form has been approved. You will not need to register personally online, or through your Church’s Revive Representative.
6. Do I need to attend a Baptist Church in order to volunteer at Revive 09?
No, we welcome all volunteers, regardless of church attendance.
