Matt grew up in Sydney and has attended Carlingford Baptist church for 27 years. He is married to Stephanie and they have a 16 month old son, Micah.
When he was 16 he heard the call of God moving him into worship leadership. He knew that leading the church in worship was the thing for him. Since that day the passion for corporate worship has increased and the hunger and desire to see all the church worship God in spirit and in truth has grown deeper.
Matt is currently serving at Carlingford Baptist Church as the team leader for the youth worship ministry. He has been in this role for 5 years now. Matt has also served as a Baptist Youth Ministries worship leader for 3 years and has loved the opportunity to minister to a broader group of people from all over NSW.
Over the years Matt has felt God placing songs on his heart and as a result in 2006 recorded and released a praise and worship album called ‘Freedom Song’. Songwriting is a big part of what Matt has been called to do and he finds great joy in doing it. His desire is that over the coming years that God will use some of the songs he has written to call His people to worship.
